Privacy notice

Thinkalaya is a live online thinking programme for children in Class 6 and 7, run by its founders, Shikhar Verma and Ojasvi Verma. In this notice, “we” means Thinkalaya. For anything about your data, write to info@thinkalaya.com.
What we collect on this website
Only what you type into our enquiry form:
- your name and WhatsApp number, and your email if you give it
- your child’s first name and class
- your city, and anything else you choose to tell us
- if you tried tonight’s question on our site, which why your child stopped at
- how you found us, such as the name of an ad campaign or the website that linked you here
We don’t ask for your child’s surname, school, photo or date of birth on this website, and we don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Why we use it
To reply to you, arrange a conversation or a free 20-minute session, and send you the programme guide if you asked for it. We also look at how families found us, so we know which ways of reaching parents actually work. That’s all. We don’t sell, rent or trade your details, and we don’t add you to a mailing list without asking.
Where it’s kept
Form answers are stored in Google Forms and Google Sheets, in an account only the founders can access. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta). Both services process data under their own terms.
How long we keep it
If your child doesn’t join, we delete your enquiry within 12 months of our last conversation, or sooner if you ask. If your child joins, we keep enrolment records for as long as we need them to run the programme and meet our legal obligations.
Your child, during the programme
Before Session 1, every family signs a separate consent form. It covers session recordings, your child’s work, and what, if anything, may be shared. Nothing that shows your child, whether their name, face, voice or work, is used outside the cohort without that written consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Write to info@thinkalaya.com and we’ll act on it within 30 days. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: one message is enough. If you’re unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
What’s stored on your device
While you browse, this site uses your browser’s session storage to remember how you arrived and your tonight’s question result, so the form can include them. It isn’t a cookie, it isn’t shared with anyone, and it clears when you close the tab. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, as it does on most websites.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top.
